Easy Productivity Hacks to Help You Get Motivated
If you get up a little bit earlier every day you can get more done
Every day, I get up and start the day with yoga to get myself in a good mood for the rest of the day. I have been doing this for years now, but when I started, I used to just do a 10 minute yoga video on YouTube before I would start my morning routine with my kids.
You don’t have to get up and take a cold shower at 5am to be more productive. Getting up just a little bit earlier can make all the difference!
You can read more on the blog about how Getting Up Earlier can Make You More Productive, because there really are a lot of benefits to becoming an early bird.
Years ago, I never would have said that either. I was always one of those who loved to sleep in, and roll out of bed at the last possible minute to get out the door. With short hair it is even easier, since I don’t have to spend time styling it.
But as the years have gone by, I have learned to become a morning person. I love the quiet time alone early in the morning to be able to get things done in peace before I begin my hectic day.
Setting Goals
In addition to getting up a little bit earlier in the morning, setting goals for yourself can make you more productive.
Even if you don’t think you have what it takes to make your dreams come true, you can start off small. That is how new habits are built. Slowly, and one at a time. That is the best way to sustain progress long term.
If you don’t think you have the resources at hand to meet your goals, you can learn to Do the Best You Can With What You Have. That means, starting right where you are. Set goals that don’t need any fancy equipment, financial commitment or too much time.
Do something small every day towards your goals and you will start to see a lot of progress over time. It takes 28 days to build a new habit. What kind of habit do you want to build for yourself?
Do you want to wake up earlier? Eat healthier? Get more exercise? Find a new job? Start a side hustle?
Any of these things are possible to start in as little as 5-15 minutes a day. You don’t have to “go big or go home” because that isn’t sustainable. If you try to change too much in your life all at once it will be hard to maintain.
If you want to learn more about setting goals, or you would like to have 1:1 coaching to help you with your goals, you can check out my Coaching Services. I can help you walk step by step from your vision to your goals, and help you lay out a plan to make them into a reality.
You can make any dream come true, you just have to want it badly enough and work towards it every day. If you want something that seems impossible, it helps to break it down into smaller steps, that way your steps will be more manageable than if you try to do something like lose 30 pounds in 30 days.
Giving yourself more time will always help with a difficult goal. Then, you set small, incremental goals along the way. Baby steps will get you there too, albeit not as fast, but it will be more sustainable that way.
I hope you have a bright and blessed day today, my lovelies!
Be well,
