No matter what happens in your day, you can always take a few deep breaths and find a minute of peace.
The last few days, my daughter has been home sick from daycare, but now she is up and running around wildly. She has her steam back. And somehow amidst that, I feel calm.
I feel peaceful and relaxed. How? Because I have taken time today to be mindful.
When I was playing with River today, I was perfectly, mindfully in the moment with her. We played with blocks, we painted pictures, and I was right there in the moment with her, paying attention to her.
I wasn’t thinking about my to-do list. I wasn’t thinking about what I needed to do, where I wanted to be, or about what else I could be doing.
So rarely in our lives are we fully present with what we are doing, as we busily race from one thing to the next. We find moments of inner peace when we can be present with what we are doing, and where we are.
I hope you take some time out of your day today to find some mindful moments, and to appreciate the beauty of life that is all around you!
