It is the beginning of the second week of the New Year, and this year seems to have a lot of people energized and ready to go with their new goals. Are you one of those? Or, are you easing into the new year a bit more slowly?
Either way, since it is Sunday, it is a great idea to take some extra time for rest and self-care today. Or, you can do meal prep and plan your schedule for the next week.
Maybe one of your goals this year is to get in control of your health. One of the best ways I find to do this is to do things that contribute to Mind, Body and Spirit wellness. This way, you have balanced health in all areas of your life.
I have written about this on the blog this week:
How mind, body and spirit wellness can help you become the best version of yourself
Connecting mind, body and spirit wellness through Yoga
For me, a focus on well-rounded health is important so that I feel like my life is in balance. If you focus all your energy in one area of your life, then there may be other areas that get neglected. Then, these neglected areas end up becoming a problem later on.
Your health is sort of like owning a car. It is a complex set of machinery. If you spend all your time on the outside, waxing, shining and getting new tires, but you neglect the engine, then you are going to have problems. Same thing with your body. There are so many moving parts to take care of all the time.
That is why if you focus on one goal for each area of your health - mind, body and spirit - then you won’t get into the same type of health problems later on as if one area was neglected.
Think about what areas of your health need attention. Is it your exercise regimen? Your eating habits? Your dental care? Your mental health? Your spiritual health? Or is it something else? These can be the areas you focus on in the new year!
I hope you all have a lovely week!
All the best,
