We took this family picture for Thanksgiving in 2016, right before River was born. I am lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful and loving family!
This year, we have been through a crazy ride with our move to Germany. I am grateful that I have had time this month to come back to Denver and visit with Atlantis, and to spend time with her for her 20th birthday!
What are you grateful for this year?
It can be something big, or something small. There are beautiful moments each day that can bring us gratitude.
I am grateful for my family, good friends, my cats, having food on the table, and for the time I have gotten to spend writing this year. I am also grateful that connections I have with people have been able to stay strong despite the distance between us. I have had some wonderful visits with Atlantis and some good friends while I have been back here in Denver.
Gratitude changes our hearts and our minds. There are many ways that gratitude can help us have a more positive mindset and to be better and happier people.
You can read more about the Benefits of Gratitude, and How to Teach Kids Gratitude on my blog.
Learning to have a gratitude mindset isn’t just something to do at Thanksgiving, although this is a beautiful time to stop and reflect. It is something that can help us all year long. The more grateful you are for the things in your life, the happier you will be in the long run.
I hope that you all have many blessings in your life that you can be grateful for! I also hope that you have time to connect this week and celebrate with everyone that you love!
I am also so grateful for each of you, my readers, because you give me strength and a sense of purpose to keep moving forward! Thank you all for reading and supporting my writing!
Have a great week!
