Today is September 1st, so not only is it the start of a new week, but a new month as well. Kids are going back to school, and fall is just around the corner. It’s hard to believe how fast the year is flying by! But not to worry, you still have 4 months left in 2024 to refocus on your goals.
Did you write out a list of goals, select a word for the year, or make a vision board at the beginning of the year? I know January seems far off now, so it could be a great time to look back at what you were thinking when you started off the year. What did you want to accomplish? Is it still a goal that resonates with you? If so, it may be time to go back to what you want to work on.
If you have kept progress on your goals all year long, bravo for you! Personally, I was in a bit of a funk back in January so I didn’t set goals for the new year. I have been looking for a direction in life, and asking myself again and again how I can do the most good in this world.
I truly believe that each of us can, in our own way, make a deep contribution to making the world a better place! In our daily lives, we can show kindness and compassion to others with whom we come in contact. We can dedicate ourselves to causes like helping the homeless, working to combat climate change, helping older adults or children, and countless others.
What is a favorite cause of yours? Let me know in the comments! I will be happy to share all of them with my readers in a future newsletter. Leave the name, some information, and a web link if possible. This way, others can get inspired to get involved in charity work as well!
If you need some motivation to get started on your goals from earlier this year, or to set some new ones, check out the following articles for some helpful tips.
As I mentioned in my previous newsletter, I have closed my blog on Millenial Mom for the time being. Currently, all of my stories are hosted on Medium. It is a paid blogging site, but I have added “friend links” here for you, so that you can read for free.

Hey Nicole, thanks for these helpful tips. And a reminder to get more productive, I have been procrastinating and wasting time by trying to keep my two inboxes down and it is a curse.
