Take Time to Refocus on Your Health Before the Holidays
As we swing into the holiday season, this is a great time to focus back on your health
The holiday season is quickly approaching, but we still have about two more weeks left until Thanksgiving. That gives you the opportunity to focus on building healthy habits before we head into the holiday season. By focusing on your health now instead of waiting until after the new year comes, you will give yourself a jump start on your goals.
With this in mind, I have been taking a focus on health and wellness on the blog the last couple of weeks. I want to help you in any way possible to ensure that you can hold onto healthy habits during the holiday season.

During the next couple of weeks, you can look up some healthy recipes for Thanksgiving, hit the gym or do some yoga, make an appointment for your dental check up, and take some time for self-care. Extra self-care over the holidays is especially important if you are taking on extra responsibilities during the holiday season. As moms and other care givers, we often have a lot more to do this time of year, so make sure that some “you time” is on the top of your list!
Taking time for your health can also help to ensure that you are lowering your stress level as well. All aspects of your health are connected: physical, mental and spiritual. So, making sure that your health is in balance is important over the holidays.
If you want to get an idea of how balanced your health and wellness is, you can take my quiz: Is Your Life in Balance? This will give you an idea of areas of your health that you may have been neglecting in the past, and where you may want to focus your efforts in the future.
Since many of us tend to overeat on treats, drink more alcohol, and find ourselves under a higher level of stress, keeping your health in mind this time of year can make a big difference in your wellbeing. You can stay healthy and still enjoy the holidays to the fullest! It just takes putting in a little bit of planning ahead of time, and mindfulness during events.
I hope these tips help you get prepared for the holidays so you can enjoy them as much as possible.
Have a great day,
Nicole Dake
