Taking Your Power Back as a Spiritual Woman
Divine Feminine Awakening is taking place all over the world
For a while now, I have been feeling the Ancient Goddess beginning to rise. Our mother is stirring, preparing to make her presence felt in a way that will be undeniable to anyone. Those of us who have already heard the whispers of the Goddess are experiencing a divine feminine spiritual awakening.
Whispers of the Goddess
A poem
Whether you are seeing signs, synchronicities, repeating numbers, or having dreams and visions of a spiritual nature, you are coming into harmony with the divine. Women are deeply intuitive, and many of us were priestesses or witches in past lives. Though many do not remember, many of us are beginning to.
Women’s intuition comes from our connection to the Earth and nature as bringers of life ourselves, from the moon and the sea, as our monthly cycles move in rhythm with the moon cycles and the tides. Our lives ebb and flow, teaching us that life moves through many seasons.
Because of our connections to nature, women are very heart-centered and compassionate. Even the Dalai Lama has said that his mother was his first and greatest teacher about what compassion means. And this is the man who is heralded as the reborn Buddha of Ultimate Compassion.
When you first begin to become aware of this sense of spiritual connectedness, to feel that there is something more to life than what you have been taught, this is the beginning of your spiritual awakening.
According to Gaia,
Experiencing a spiritual awakening means entering a state of consciousness where one’s perception of life, the universe, and the self undergoes a radical shift. This transformation leads to a deeper and more meaningful understanding of existence, marking the beginning of a path toward spiritual understanding and self-realization.
There are many paths that can lead us to spiritual awakening, and everyone’s journey is unique. This is why it’s so important to find spiritual community — especially a community of spiritual women — to share your journey. We all have things to learn, and things to teach. The more we share our knowledge and wisdom gained, the fuller a picture of the Truth we all gain.
It’s said that on the eve of the Buddha’s enlightenment, he had a vision of all his previous lives. Then, he ascended into heaven and saw a vision of the unfolding multiverse. After this, he began to teach others how to achieve enlightenment as well.
Are you having a spiritual awakening?
When I had my first spiritual awakening (and yes, you will probably have more than one!) I was 16 years old and had become disillusioned with my childhood Christian faith after finding out that women couldn’t become Southern Baptist ministers.
I started spending a lot of time in the library reading and researching topics like Dream Interpretation with Anne Faraday and the Collective Unconscious with Carl Jung. I got into Wicca and other women’s spiritual traditions, and I started meditating a LOT.
Then, I had a vision flash before my eyes of my past lives, many of which I had been a spiritual seeker as well. An Atlantean priestess, a witch in early America, a follower of Lao Tsu in China.
Many of us on the spiritual path today have been spiritual in past lifetimes.
Whether or not you remember past lives, just the fact that you are here reading this is a good indication that you are uncovering your own spiritual destiny.
Gaia gives the following signs that you are having a spiritual awakening:
Existential questioning: A constant search for answers to big questions about the meaning and purpose of life, beyond the conventional explanations offered by society.
Reevaluation of beliefs: A tendency to question and critically review fundamental beliefs about life, death, spirituality, and other essential topics.
Increased intuition: A deeper and clearer connection with intuition, helping to make decisions more aligned with one’s authentic essence.
Renewed sense of purpose: A renewed sense of direction and purpose in life, as if destined to fulfill a particular mission or role that contributes to collective well-being.
Connection with nature: A stronger and more meaningful connection with nature, finding peace and harmony in its beauty and tranquility.
More time in solitude: Comfort in spending more time alone, using those moments to reflect and connect with the inner self.
Awareness of unity: The feeling of being part of something much greater, recognizing the connection with the whole and the interdependence of all life.
Shift in perception of death: A changing view of death, seeing it as a natural part of the life cycle rather than something to be feared.
Longing for meaning: A strong desire to live meaningfully, seeking to deepen the understanding of life and one’s role in the world.
When this happens, there are all different reactions that you will have at times. A sense of coming home to yourself and finding your place. Fear of what’s to come, especially if you were raised in a traditional faith or persecuted for your spiritual practices in a past life. A disconnect with modern society. A longing for a different way of life. Sadness at all the hardships you have gone through.
You might even feel like you’re losing your mind at times when you can’t reconcile the things you know with the things you’ve been taught.
A lot of this is because western culture in particular, with its focus on capitalism and control by the patriarchy, has long destroyed, denied and suppressed women’s spirituality. It has silenced our voices. It has shamed and objectified our bodies. It has enslaved us and made us small.
As someone who knows that I’ve been on the spiritual path for many lifetimes, I’m putting together a series on Divine Feminine Awakening that you may find useful. Here’s the first segment:
This is a follow-up to the book I released in January, The Slavery of Women, which is all about how Christianity and the patriarchy has subjugated women for centuries.
With the current social and political context of the rise of White Christian Nationalism in the US, this is a critical time for spiritual women to rise up and make our voices heard. As well as being deeply spiritual and intuitive (ever notice how most psychics are women?), women are also better at creating lasting political peace.
In order to help other spiritual women rise up, thrive and come into their personal power, I’m putting out this content and speaking up under my real name. In public.
