The full moon is a symbol of completion. We are right now completing a cycle of Mercury Retrograde, which is a time that energy seems to go all over the place. We can feel like life is a bit out of control, like we are on a roller coaster of emotions. Tonight, October 9, this is coming to an end.
Tonight is a good time to do a full moon ritual and let go of all the limiting beliefs that are no longer serving us. We can do this in many ways.
First, think of all the goals that you are wishing to accomplish this month. (Earlier this month I talked about setting your intentions). When you think of your intentions, think of anything that is stopping you from achieving them.
Once you have written down a list of these limiting beliefs that are holding you back from reaching your goals, you will be aware of all your mental blocks.
Then, you can write a new list with affirmations to contradict those negative, limiting beliefs.
For example, if your goal is to get a promotion or scale your business, you may have a limiting belief around money (like many of us do!) where you don’t believe you deserve that much money. To counteract this belief, you could say an affirmation like, “I deserve limitless abundance” or “I deserve to be well paid for doing work that adds value.”
Make an affirmation for each limiting belief.
Then, when you are done, you can get rid of the list of limiting beliefs. You can tear it up, throw it away or burn it under the full moon. This symbolically clears the energy of those limiting beliefs.
Keep your list of intentions and goals, as well as your new affirmations close by. You can read them to yourself several times throughout the day, so that you will have these positive messages in the forefront of your mind.
By using positive thoughts and messages to yourself, this helps to counteract our inborn negative thinking bias.
We can reframe our thoughts, and rewire our brains for happiness using this type of positive thinking. The more positive input you have in your life, the more positive output you will have.
A long time ago someone wise told me, “You get out of it what you put into it.” That is one of the most important life lessons that I have come along thus far. So, the more positivity that you put into your life, the more positivity you will get back out.
I wish you a bright and blessed Sunday, and full moon. I hope that all your dreams will come true!
All the best,
