When I was younger, I used to go to a Poetry Slam every Sunday night. I loved hearing the poets speak their truths, and learning insights about life. The poets put their whole hearts into what they were saying, reciting with rhythm and rhyme the words that they had written. It was a beautiful thing to see.
This morning, I remembered a line from one of those poems, and it made me think of you all, and how to define the ways I can help you with this newsletter.
You forgot to ask the most important question when giving directions.
Where are you coming from?
In order to best be able to serve your needs with this newsletter, I need to know, where are all of you coming from?
I did a survey a couple of weeks ago, asking what type of content that everyone likes best:
Mental Health
Spirituality
Personal Development
The thing is, the survey got only 3 responses, even though 113 of you read the email. So it’s hard for me to know where all of you are coming from, why you subscribed, and why you keep reading. — I’m glad that you do keep reading, I just want to know a little about you so I can make sure I am giving helpful tips!
So, for the beginning of this New Year, I want to get to know all of you a little better. This way, I can be sure I am providing the most helpful content that is specifically tailored to meet your needs!
For the new year, I have also revamped my About Me page, and my Coaching Packages. I am back in Denver as of a couple of weeks ago after spending almost 2 years in Germany, and I have a renewed focus and determination to provide as much good to all of my subscribers as possible!
Balancing two halves of my family on two different continents is an interesting challenge in many ways, and I am navigating the waters of being someone who is a child of the world, instead of just one place. (Digital Nomad, anyone?)
That’s my update - so what about you? What are you looking forward to in 2024? What challenges are you facing? Let me know in the comments (or in an email if it is a bit personal!) and let me know what I can do to best support you in 2024. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Wishing you all the best in the New Year,
Nicole Dake
